I would like to apologize for my delay in blogs. I’m going
to skip the excuses and get right to the point f this blog. HAPPINESS! “Don’t
lose your happiness on the pursuit for more of it,” –Mike Stud. I read this
quote earlier this week off of Mike Stud’s Instagram and it spoke to me.
Literally! My mind began to race and I started to wonder… I wondered about
life, about my life, about the decisions I have made in the past. Attempting to
figure out if I fell a victim to giving up happiness for more happiness. The
answer to this question that I have been asking myself all week is YES, I have
lost happiness on the pursuit of more of it. But then another question arose
from this answer… And that question is
why? Why did I throw away something that made me happy in order to obtain more
happiness? In my option, it is jealous. People constantly compare what they
have to what other people experience. If this is being done all the time people
won’t be able to truly appreciate what they have. Thus causing this false idea
that what an individual has isn’t good enough and more is needed. The sad part
about this is that once you lose this item, this person, this happiness… that’s
when you realize how good it was to you. Now let me ask you this my readers,
are you giving up what you have for something more when you don’t necessarily
need it? If so ask yourself this, are you giving it up because you genuinely
need it, or because other people have it and you want it. Life is a game of
give and take, lost and obtain, once you lose something you can’t always get it
back… Think about that my readers, if you are losing your happiness on the
pursuit of more happiness because I know I have and I want to put an end to all
he lose.
