Thankful Bond

Brotherhood has a strong effect on a young man. It controls the urges of being belonged. In a brotherhood a young man gets this familial aspect to life. Belonging to something far greater than their self. This causes the young man to want to prove himself to the brotherhood because of the constant state of comfort. However, the proof can be asserted in two different ways, a negative way and a positive way. Negative aspects are seen over and over again through organizations with negative motives; for example gangs and killing others to belong in a group. One the other side, positive aspects of a brotherhood are clubs; for example a dance club. Where proving yourself leads to self-growth and positive reinforcement from the group. What these two aspect, negative and positive, have is common is a single powerful feeling of guilt if letting members of the group down, family members. This feeling can cause self petty or even resentment from the group depending on the scenario. The negative side to a brotherhood could end your life if you let members down. However, on the positive side of a brotherhood, letting members down can lead to them encouraging you to be better. To my readers, choose your brotherhood wisely! Because the ones that want to see you succeed in life will lift you higher!

Idealism Vs. Romance

“There are two kinds of people in this world, hopeless romantics and realists. A realist can look at a girl see that face and pack it in with every beautiful face they seen before. A hopeless romantic becomes convinced that god put that girl on earth to be with that one person. But there is no God and life is only as meaningful as you fool yourself into thinking it is”. After hearing this quote in the movie Stuck In Love I believed that there is a third kind of person in this world… That person being the combination of a realist and a hopeless romantic. All my life I believed in huge gestures of loves that could compel the person you adore to care about you. However, honestly speaking people don’t usually get the person they want. It is either because the timing is wrong, or the moment is right and that person genuinely isn’t into you. Well I say false to all those reasons! I believe that if you truly want to be with somebody it will happen either if it is now or later. Romance just speeds up the enviable. Lust has a way of hallucinating what one might believe to be love. However, lust is temporary and love is long term. A person who is a realist and a hopeless romantic not only believes that if something is meant to happen it will but the time may not be now. “We except the love we think we deserve” is another great quote I heard from the movie Perks of Being a Wallflower, depicting how we believe we deserve the love that is owed to us. This can back fire for a hopeless romantic if the hopeless romantic believes the love they desire is horrible. A realist would not even consider that love is owed to anyone but a combination of the two would realize that love is owed to us and we should deserve the best of it. The message I am getting across to you my readers is this. Love is a fascinating experience and you can read about it all you want but if you do go out there and love somebody for everything that they truly are, you would never understand what I’m talking about; or anyone else. “Sorry, I have to go see about a girl,” Good Will Hunting…
